Section 01

Hands-on Rehabilitation: Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is hands-on rehabilitation—not a machine. It includes stretching, massage, and joint mobilization used to support mobility and comfort after injury, surgery, or chronic stiffness. It is given as part of a veterinary rehab plan. Call (661) 729-1500 to inquire.

What it is used for

Veterinarians may recommend manual therapy for pets recovering from orthopedic or spinal procedures, pets with arthritis, or pets that need help moving more comfortably. It is tailored to the individual; we do not use a one-size-fits-all routine.

What to expect

Your pet is handled gently on a table or mat. The session may include range-of-motion work, massage, or guided stretching. If your pet is painful, the team will stop or change the approach. Home exercises may be suggested; follow only what the veterinarian or rehab team demonstrates.
