Section 01

Acupuncture for Pets

Veterinary acupuncture is an integrative, needle-based therapy. Fine needles are placed at specific points as part of a plan for pain, mobility, or selected medical conditions. It is a hands-on treatment, not diagnostic equipment. Call (661) 729-1500 to inquire. Whether it is appropriate depends on your pet’s exam and history; our clinical team should confirm treatment recommendations for your pet.

What it may be used for

A veterinarian may discuss acupuncture for chronic pain, arthritis, muscle tension, or as added support during rehabilitation. It is not a cure-all. Some pets are not candidates because of temperament, infection at a site, or other medical reasons.

What to expect

Your pet is kept as calm as possible. Needles are placed and typically left in for a short time. Many pets tolerate the visit well; if your pet is too stressed, the team will stop. You will receive aftercare guidance if needed.
